Simon's Inspirational Story

Being deaf, and without speech, Simon Mulungwe (pictured far right) has had few real opportunities in life. Deafness in Zambia, along with many other disabilities are not widely recognised, meaning integrating with society can be especially tough.

Family First - Kelvin Bwalya's Story

Kelvin Bwalya is a 21 year old builder from Kawama, Zambia. Kelvin supports his family of 11; two sisters, two brothers, his mother, three grandparents, his wife Elisabeth and 14 month old son London. They live in a three roomed house without electricity or toilet. Water is collected from a nearby communal water tap.

True Friends - Aaron and Chola

Both Aaron Musukumu (pictured left) and Chola Mwewa (pictured right) struggled to find work when they left school. After signing up as a building trainees at our Kawama School project, the two friends passed their trades tests with flying colours.
