Onivia Muleya
Onivia is 17 and in grade 9 at Fiwila school where she boards. ‘I live at a village called Nyenje which is 45 kilometers away. So I walk to school at the beginning of term but sometimes I go home at the week-end. I cook our food with my friends here, mainly Nshima. We live in the dormitory. 'After finishing grade five at my community school I came here. I am the only one here from that school. After I have finished grade 9 I want to do grade 10 here at Fiwila. I am very happy here especially with the new school building for grade 10. 'My favourite subjects are home economics and English. When I finish grade 12, I want to train as a nurse. I plan to study at St Francis College in Katete.' Onivia is one of around 50 girls who board at Fiwila in dormitories built by the project and funded by Harvest Help.
