A new report published by Build It reviews our approach to sustainable building and provides recommendations on the way forwards.
An estimated 750 people attended a full day of celebrations to mark the formal opening of the two new classrooms at Mikumbila Community School, Zambia on 10 June 2010.
Graced with the presence of Chief Nkole, the Anglican Bishop of Central Province, the District Commissioner and Ministry of Education officials the community put on a splendid day of songs, poems and dancing.
There were also speeches and a superb sketch acted out by the men and women trained in building skills at the project.
Build IT International was represented by Andrew Jowett, Director accompanied by our long time supporter Stephen Gosztony.
The new classrooms have double the capacity of the school and enabled it to be re-classified as a Grade 3 school.
