A festive update from Nchute Health Clinic – courtesy of former trainee Sabron!
Despite the rains, things are really hotting up - with our 11 trainees working hard on ensuring the new clinic will be complete by April 2012.
Sabron Muchimba (pictured), who first trained at our Fiwila project, is now helping oversee work at Nchute. Sabron, who is also working with his friend and other former trainee Enoch, tells us the work is coming along nicely.
The maternity clinic is almost at roof level now, and should be completed in January. The four bed maternity ward will provide a private placefor mothers to gain medical assistance.
Sabron and his crew have also been busy on the main clinic, with the foundations and load bearing column blocks (pictured) complete.
We’re impressed with the continued support from the local community, who are still delivering the river sand and crushed stone required for trainees to make interlocking soil blocks.
