Office opening reception

A reception was held in the meeting room of our new office building in Shrewsbury to celebrate our arrival. Enjoying wine donated by the Co-operative Society around 30 supporters and friends of the charity attended.

Sue Lucas, Chair of Trustees, introduced the evening and Andrew Jowett, Director, explained our origins, approach and work. A series of displays included recent photographs from projects in Zambia.

Questions were taken, our new leaflet launched and a guided tour of the building was given to those interested in sustainable building design for the UK. As well as being highly insulated, the building boasts solar power, an eco lift, rainwater harvesting and a mechanical air cooling system.
