Good sanitation is something that many of us take for granted. In sub-Saharan Africa around half of all families have inadequate sanitation facilities.

The majority of our projects include Ventilation Improved Pit Latrines (VIP latrines) – designed specifically to provide an odour/fly free environment through a solar powered chimney.

We are also looking into other ways of providing greater sanitation, such as female urinals, which have been used at our schools in Makangwe, Mikumbila and St. Agness.
