Our latest project has started – building a new community school in Shipungu, Central Zambia.
We believe in reducing environmental impact and energy costs at all of our projects. We use local building materials, sustainable technologies and improved designs. This makes our buildings cooler, lighter and low maintenance.
The quality of buildings in Zambia is generally poor, both in terms of design and workmanship. Concrete blocks and tin sheet roofing make uncomfortable school buildings with temperatures often exceeding 40 Celsius, making it extremely hard to study. We aim to change this by promoting the use of sustainable building methods, design and materials.
