Trainees achievements recognised at recent graduation ceremonies
The awards are an important part of our graduation ceremonies and recognise Build It trainees who have excelled during the training programme.
The awards are given in three categories: leadership, commitment and “most improved”.
The three trainees who won the award for leadership were: Mirriam Mulenga (Kawama), Dennis Lupupa (George) and Emmanuel Mukuka (Kabaka). They all displayed natural leadership skills and always had time to help their fellow trainee. Emmanuel at Kabaka even formed a building co-operative so trainees could continue to work together as a group in the future.
The winners of the commitment award were: Kunda Bwalya (Kawama), Prince Mufuzi (George) and Jenny Mainza (Kabaka). All three consistently showed a fantastic work ethic, often going beyond the call of duty.
The three trainees who were awarded the “most improved” award were: Shadreck Mboma (Kawama), Danny Sakutamba (George) and Hitler Mayanda (Kabaka). They all showed a natural flair for building and really made the most of Build It’s free training programme. They all gained confidence during their training and are eager to have a successful career in the construction sector.
Big congratulations to all the winners who have made the best possible start to their careers as builders.
