35 hand wash stations now completed!
17 March 2021.
Your incredible support to our Safe Hands initiative, means our graduate team has now built 35 hand wash stations in schools in Zambia. And there are more on the way!
Hand washing saves lives. Regular hand washing is one of the best ways to remove germs, avoid getting sick and prevent the spread of germs to others.
These permanent facilities are helping schools to integrate hand washing more frequently into their daily timetable.
With space for 18 children to wash their hands at the same time, it means less time queuing and more time in the classroom learning.
At Katuba Secondary School, we have adapted the design into an L-shape to fit into the available space
Most of the hand wash stations to date have been installed in schools across the Chilanga and Chibombo Districts of Lusaka, close to our Centre for Excellence.
The next hand wash stations will be built in schools down in Livingstone, in the southern province of Zambia. We are already working in Livingstone building new facilities at Light of Hope Community School and Katombora Reform School.
We continue raising funds to support more children – if you would like to donate to our Safe Hands programme please click here.
Thank you. Together we are #BuildingBrighterFutures in Zambia.
