Saying hello, waving good bye
We are delighted to welcome Ms Chilufya Kasutu as our Interim Country Director in Zambia. Following on from her predecessor Sughra Hussain, will be a hard act to follow but Chilufya is very much up to the job.
Chilufya is an experienced NGO Programme Manager having worked for Oxfam and Counterpart International (USAID funded), amongst others over the past 20 years. She is passionate about community development, empowerment and influencing policy work.
“I am extremely excited that I get to contribute to building skills for a growing sector of our economy,” said Chilufya.
“I look forward to ensuring that we are positioned for excellence growing a cadre of young people that can respond to the ever emerging need.”
Chilufya’s role is to support our programme delivery teams and strengthen our partnerships in Zambia. She will be a key member of the Senior Management Team.
Farewell
At the same time, we will shortly wave goodbye to Susan Barlow, who has been one of our Senior Fundraisers for the past five years.
Susan has helped to build up our community of individual supporters, establish our Development Board and deliver so many successful supporter events.
Thank you Susan and we wish you all the best in your new role.
