New additions to the Build It team
We are delighted to introduce two new members of the Build It team.
A big welcome to Lisa Carson as our new Head of Fundraising and Communications, based in our UK office.
Lisa has extensive marketing and fundraising experience in the private sector and charity sector. She has particular expertise in events, corporate and relationship fundraising and fundraising strategy.
Lisa said; “I’m so excited to have joined the Build It team, and really look forward to raising valuable funds to enable us to do even more fantastic work in Zambia.”
In Zambia we welcome Prisca Fumpa as our Junior Site Agent.
Prisca is a recent graduate of the Copperbelt University with a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Civil Engineering. She is a member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
Prisca has already worked on several construction projects in Zambia, including mini hospitals for the Zambia Ministry of Health.
Prisca said; “The skills training and community infrastructure development done by Build It helps communities to be self-sustaining. This is a journey I am grateful to be part of. There’s a great African proverb: if you want to go fast – go alone, if you want to go far – go together.”
Prisca is overseeing construction of a boundary wall at the Centre for Excellence, before she moves down to Livingstone to support our projects at Libuyu Health Centre and Zambezi Sawmills Community School.
We are delighted to welcome Lisa and Prisca to the team, as together we continue #BuildingBrighterFutures in Zambia.
