Libuyu Urban Health Centre & Maternity Unit Opening Ceremony
This celebration was totally different to Zambezi Sawmills, however it was equally spectacular! Crowds of people from the local community came along to join in the celebrations.
A local theatre group performed traditional Zambian dances and songs. The group also acted out some sketches which demonstrated how expecting mothers were previously reluctant to use the clinic to have their babies, encouraging them to use the new facility now it is fit for purpose.
The acting District Health Director Kashika Edwin and acting District Commissioner Joseph Lungu both gave a vote of thanks to Build It and our supporters and commented on how impressed they were with the workmanship of the building as they were given a guided tour.
