Walking with a purpose

Stepping out to support our Safe Hands appeal

Build It has partnered with the team at Vespucci Adventures to inspire you to step out on a feel good hike, re-connect with friends, family or colleagues, and at the same time raise funds for our Safe Hands appeal.

A Walk with a Purpose is a simple format providing all you need in one handy pack. Whether you are an experienced walker, or a novice we give you the map and local area guide to have a great day out:

    • Choose from a selection of walks from Vespucci Adventures’ Signature Hikes – from the Jurassic Coast, Hadrian’s Wall, East Sussex, South Downs, North Downs, Surrey, Hampshire and Beachy Head.
    • For more information and to get your adventure pack with route map and guidebook, please get in touch with susan@builditinternational.org
    • Set a date and invite your friends. It’s a minimum donation of £25.00 per person. Each donation will provide five school children with hand washing facilities and keep them in school and free from infection.
    • Then all you need to do is enjoy your day!

Alternatively why not choose your favourite walk, and give a donation to support our Safe Hands appeal.

Washing our hands regularly is vital in the fight against COVID-19. Through our Safe Hands appeal we are building permanent hand washing stations, as well as distributing vital supplies and delivering health awareness sessions – with 20,000 children to benefit, this works out at £5 per child.

Your support means we can help stop the spread of infection. It means as you step out, we can step up our support to keep children safe from COVID-19 during the pandemic, and beyond. Thank you.

PS. Don’t forget to share your photos of the day – you can find us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn! #BuildingBrighterFutures

“I love walking with friends in beautiful places. However, walking with a purpose is even better.
Knowing that my friends and I were raising money for Build It’s Safe Hands campaign, whilst at the same time enjoying each other’s company and the beautiful view from the Temple of the Winds is as good as it gets. Especially during Covid!”
