In Bemba, one of Zambia’s widely-spoken languages, the word ‘chapamo’ means togetherness - the belief that we achieve more when we work side by side.
In 2025, this spirit really guided everything we do.
We enrolled a record 288 young people in construction training and delivered two transformative school build projects, helping create brighter futures for young people, their families and their communities.

Build It 2025 - 2028
Build It has strong foundations and bold ambitions. We believe our model has the potential to transform construction skills training in Zambia.
Our new strategy introduces new actions to realise this potential. By working with the construction sector, we are collaborating with an industry that is critical to Zambia’s future prosperity and in urgent need of young, skilled workers. By focusing on quality education, skills training and employment opportunities, we can help more young people contribute to Zambia’s economic growth, improving lives for families and communities across the country.
Impact Study 2023 - Training into Work summary
Build It provides construction skills training and work experience to young people. We focus on training young men and women who have had limited access to education, but have a genuine interest and desire to learn new skills. With these skills they can find work, earn a living and provide for their families.
