We are taking a range of decisions to ensure that Build It emerges from this global crisis in a sound state and able to resume our full programme of work.
The Senior Management Team and the Board have updated the Business Continuity Plan with a number of key actions, including reducing costs.
As part of this, the decision has been made to move to a short-time week of 80% from May 2020, with staff working Monday to Thursday.
This reflects the overall reduction in work in Zambia and knock on effect for fundraising, and conserves our limited cash reserves.
This change will apply across the whole organisation and we are taking measures to protect our colleagues in Zambia on the lowest incomes.
