Responding To Employer Demands

After a short break for Christmas, we recently welcomed two new cohorts of trainees to our Centre For Excellence, just outside Lusaka.

The young men and women of Cohort #90 have enrolled in our entry level brick/blocklaying course.  This marks the first course in partnership with the Zambian Government (TEVETA).

Cohort #91 are completing our new Construction Multi-Skills course which includes a mix of entry level trade and life skills.

Positive engagement with employers is critical to the success of our Training into Work programme, ensuring our training continues to keep pace with employers’ needs.

Last year, we held an Employer Engagement workshop at the Centre for Excellence with representatives from 14 organisations providing valuable feedback and suggestions. Following comments from graduates and employers, we have reviewed and revised our courses to include plastering, rendering and concreting, tiling and modular paving. These skills are more aligned with industry needs and increase the employability of our graduates
