This celebration was totally different to the opening of Zambezi Sawmills school, however it was equally spectacular! Crowds of people from the local community came along to join in the celebrations.
A local theatre group performed traditional Zambian dances and songs. The group also acted out sketches which demonstrated how expectant mothers who were previously reluctant to use the clinic, are now encouraged and willing to use the new fit-for-purpose facility.
The acting District Health Director Kashika Edwin and acting District Commissioner Joseph Lungu both joined in a vote of thanks to Build It and our supporters, adding how impressed they were with the workmanship of the building as they were given a guided tour.
