Thank you for your overwhelming support for our ‘Help Lupuka Learn’ appeal.
This has so far raised £43,000 – enough to start construction of the classrooms and school office next month – Fantastic news!
Project manager, Albert Lungu, took this good news to Lupuka last week and it was received with great excitement.
He also took the community leaders to visit the Kabaka project, about two hours away.
There, they saw the works in progress and discussed how to best organise themselves with the Kabaka residents.
The Lupuka community is now busy clearing their site and collecting materials. Block production should commence within the next three weeks.
But, we still need your help to complete the project. We also need to build a teachers’ house and latrine blocks. This will ensure that the Ministry of Education sends a trained teacher to support the untrained voluntary teachers currently at the school.
