Danni Menzies, presenter on Channel 4’s ‘A Place in the Sun’ and ‘Car and Country’ is in training for the 500km fundraising Lusaka to Livingstone cycle challenge for Build It International, 6-14 September 2019. The challenge will end at the magnificent Victoria Falls.

“I have been involved with Build It for several years now so I jumped at the chance to get on my bike and help fundraise for the great work they do” said Danni.

I’m a little nervous about the distance we are going to cover but super excited about seeing some of Zambia and getting the chance to visit Build It projects along the way. I’m in serious training; cycling around the Highlands when home at my parents.”

Launched in 2007 Build It works in Zambia teaching young, unemployed people to be builders, as well as building urgently needed schools and clinics.

Danni will be joining ten other Build It supporters on the cycle challenge, including Build It International CEO Andrew Jowett.

“We are all delighted to have Danni join our Zambia cycle challenge” said Andrew.

“We can’t wait to introduce her to some of the young trainees at our new training centre and visit some of the many community schools we have built. Danni will get to see first-hand how her support is making a such a big difference to so many young lives.”
