Lucie Kasanga: Zambia’s first female civil engineer. Lucie worked for ZMG Consulting Engineers and National Hotels Development Company, before setting up consulting firm Wezya Property Services. Lucie has been Build It Chair since November 2021.Â
Nuttah Mumbi, ‘The Lady Engineer’: Licensed civil engineer working in Zambia with seven years experience across transportation engineering, infrastructure design, construction management and environmental remediation. Nuttah holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Copperbelt University, Zambia and a Master of Engineering in Project Management from Mulungushi University, Zambia. In 2020 Nuttah founded The Lady Engineer, an online platform about construction and civil engineering to assist small construction companies and property investors.
Olivia Hughes: Structural engineer based in Buro Happold’s Rotterdam office in the Netherlands. Olivia graduated with a Masters in Civil Engineering from the University of Brighton, UK. Having worked at a number of European offices, both on site and in the office, Olivia brings a wealth of experience to the table.
Eva Tembo:Â Finished secondary school in 2020, and trained in Rough Carpentry with Build It in 2022 at the Centre for Excellence, Zambia. Eva is currently working for Modern Refinements who undertake property management, maintenance and refurbishment.
