Financial Administrator (Part-time, UK)

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to provide vital financial accounting support to the organisation, especially the Finance Manager and Fundraising team. You will be responsible for inputting and analysing financial data to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. You will be based from our office in Shrewsbury town centre, but also work closely alongside our colleagues in Lusaka, Zambia.

Key functions

Process financial data including:

  • Preparing invoice payments, entering expenditure on the accounts system.
  • Conducting data entry for income and expenditure, ensuring accurate financial records.
  • Reconciling accounts on QuickBooks and Salesforce platforms.
  • Managing and tracking expected income and expenditure including regular donations, pledged donations and unpaid invoices.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly reports and year-end accounts.

We will consider remote working if you are able to attend regular meetings in Shrewsbury.

Treasurer for BII Zambia Ltd (Voluntary position, Zambia)

We are looking for a new Trustee to join the BII Zambia Board, who would also assume the role of treasurer and sit on the organisation’s Finance and Audit Committee (FAC).

The right person will be able to contribute to the overall development of the Charity. 

Duties include: Monitoring and advising on the financial viability of the Charity, helping to oversee it’s financial viability as well as keeping informed about the charity’s activities.

BII Zambia is a separate legal body but holds joint board meetings with Build It International UK.  Board meetings take place in Lusaka, Zambia connecting online to colleagues in the UK. 

FAC meetings take place online.
