Pupils at Chibolya Community School in Mazabuka are using their new classroom and kitchen for the first time.
We first worked in Chibolya in 2011, completing a new two-classroom primary school building as well as a nursery school building.
Since then, the school has seen pupil enrolment rise. Parents from the local community want their children to benefit from the new fit for purpose classrooms on offer at Chibolya Community School.
In 2014, Build It International built another new classroom block and kitchen at Chibolya to meeting the growing demand for pupils wanting to go to school.
Providing the 255 pupils with free meals ensures the pupils are healthier and increases academic performance and daily attendance at the school.
Building new classrooms can transform communities like Chibolya. This year, we are fundraising to build a new school for the remote Katuba community, to enable the children to benefit from a proper education. Click here to find out more about life at Katuba.
