Your support means we can continue building brighter futures for young people, their families and their communities in Zambia.
We have launched our Safe Hands Appeal to build permanent hand washing facilities at 18 local schools, with space for 18 children to wash their hands at the same time. These new facilities will benefit up to 20,000 children. We will provide further training to some of our young construction graduates to support this work helping to improve the health of children in their communities, both now and in the future.
- £1,800 to build a permanent, hand washing station for 500 children.
- £100 to train a young Build It graduate so they can be employed to help build the new facilities.
- In addition to the hand washing stations, we will also provide masks, soaps and hand sanitisers, health promotion posters and health orientation sessions. All this works out at just £5 per child.
