Children at Naluyanda School - Safe Hands

Your support means brighter futures for young people, their families and their communities in Zambia. We continue raising funds for our Safe Hands appeal to build permanent, group hand wash facilities at schools in Zambia.

Your generous support means so far we have supported over 27,000 children across 26 schools. But there are still many schools struggling to cope. We would like to extend our support to reach a further 30 schools.

  • £1,500 to build a single hand wash station with space for 18 children to wash their hands all at the same time
  • £2,300 for a double hand wash station with space for 36 children to wash their hands
  • £175 to provide essential supplies, including face masks, soaps, hand sanitisers and disinfectant, plus COVID-19 awareness workshop to help protect a class of children. On average, all this works out at £3.50 per child

85p in every pound goes towards delivering our programme in Zambia. 15p in every pound goes toward vital running and support costs including governance and investment in fundraising, allowing us to reach even more young people and continue #BuildingBrighterFutures in Zambia.
