We are delighted to announce that we are taking part in The Big Give Christmas Challenge 2019 – the UK’s largest match-funding campaign which last year raised an incredible £13 million for participating charities.
This means that donations made to Build It online through The Big Give Christmas Challenge website between midday Tuesday 3 December until midday Tuesday 10 December 2019 will be doubled… for free. That’s one donation, twice the impact!
Money raised will go towards our Training into Work programme providing skills training and work experience to help more young people to earn a living and to provide for their families. It means that not only can we train Danny, but we can train his brother Dickson too!
Our 2019 Impact Study confirms that we are creating real opportunities for young people and their communities. The study followed up 175 Build It graduates from the past five years with results showing:
- 81% have increased their income by more than 50%
- 37% of graduates are earning at least 10 x more than before
This is empowerment in action and it changes lives forever.
We want to continue increasing the number of young people we train which we can only do with your help. This year we hope to raise £45,000 through the Big Give Christmas Challenge to train 38 young, unemployed men and women.
