As a member of the Building Futures Network, your business could help fund the training, mentorship, and job support of hundreds of young people in Zambia. These young builders gain recognised construction skills – and go on to help deliver vital infrastructure like schools, health clinics, housing and toilets in communities that need them most.
It’s tangible. It’s lasting. It’s the kind of impact your business can be proud of.
The Building Futures Network is open to:
Whether you’re a consultancy in London, an architect in Chicago contractor in Lusaka, or a studio in Copenhagen, this is your chance to build more than profit.
Businesses join the Building Futures Network because they want to give back in a way that’s real and measurable.
It’s not about vague promises or ticking boxes. It’s about aligning your company’s value and goals with meaningful, visible impact.
Membership helps bring your organisation’s values to life. It inspires pride among employees, and connects your company to a story that matters.
For many, it’s also about differentiation – standing out as a business that builds more than profit, and showing clients, partners and employees that you’re committed to creating a better future.
Build It believes in a sustainable Africa where young people can work, thrive, and shape their own futures.
Your membership helps us move closer to that vision by supporting a model that gives young people real skills, real opportunity, and real hope.
It enables us to refine and expand our work in Zambia and lay the foundation for partnerships that can grow our impact across the region.
You can support can help young people like Noel Phiri – who’s gone from learner to leader.
Noel completed his training with us in 2024. With his new skills and renewed confidence, he secured his first contract. Through hard work and determination, he has gone on to complete a number of projects.
Noel’s now employing former classmates to help him. He is supporting his family and is building them a home. Noel plans to return to school to finish his studies, and to continue growing his business.
“I felt I was nothing before this training… Now I’m in a better position – and I want to help others get there too.”
Noel also has political aspirations and would like to:
“…become a young leader who is able to influence and foster positive policy that will put young people with skills in a better position.”
