Stuart, who works for Minster Law, is part of a team of BGL Group employees who are giving their time and efforts to help fundraise towards the life-changing project in Zambia.

Stuart and twenty colleagues from the BGL group will travel to Zambia to visit the Mutaba Health Clinic and meet the community they have supported. They will also visit Kabaka school, which was funded by BGL in 2014.

Stuart completed the 13-mile run, lightsaber in hand, in an impressive two hours and thirteen minutes, including stoppage time for photographs and high fives with the crowds.

“As a father of two children, I wanted to try and help others have the same access to health care and in turn the start in life that they enjoy.”

“I was struck by the wonderful care my son received on the NHS and the thought that had he been born in Kapiri he would not have had access to such care and vital urgent treatment.”

The new medical centre will consist of an outpatient clinic, under-fives clinic, HIV testing/TB clinic laboratory and pharmacy as well as a separate maternity unit. The clinic will be built by twenty young men and women as part of Build It’s building skills training programme.

Well done Stuart! If you’d like to support Stuart’s efforts you can donate to his fundraising page here – 100% of donations are given to Build It International and will go towards the new clinic.
