Build It graduate trainees, Charity and Imeldah have been awarded the contract to build the new house. They were trained in 2010 and have been working together to gain more experience and take on larger jobs ever since. It will be the second time they have built a teachers’ house for Build It, they did an impressive job building the teachers’ house at Kabaka in 2013.

It is our second visit to Donata School, which we built in 2012. Critically, the construction of the new house will trigger the Ministry of Education to provide the school with a professionally trained special needs teacher. This will be the first qualified teacher at Donata School, meaning that the pupils will benefit from specialist teaching for the first time.
